Role Overview
As the Country Representative, you will play a key role in driving company growth in the Australian market. You will lead sales and business development efforts, cultivate strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, and cafés) businesses, and explore opportunities for sourcing high-quality Australian products for export markets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement strategies to expand market share in Australia.
- Build relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and HoReCa clients to secure contracts and partnerships.
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and trends, ensuring a competitive edge in the Australian food market.
- Achieve sales targets and manage budgets for the region.
- Represent Company at trade shows, expos, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
- Identify and build relationships with Australian producers of high-quality food products suitable for export under the Company brand.
- Conduct quality assessments and work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with export standards and quality benchmarks.
- Negotiate sourcing agreements to ensure competitive pricing and sustainable supply chains.
- Collaborate with the global supply chain and logistics teams to streamline export operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Australian stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with the global team.
- Act as the face of the brand in Australia, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
The successful candidate will be proactive, self-driven with initiative and ideally possess the following:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in sales, business development, or sourcing within the food industry, ideally with a focus on imports, exports, or Mediterranean food products.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Understanding of Australian food standards, regulations, and export processes.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
